Honeydew Honey

Howdy do, Honeydew?

Although I may look black and opaque, I’ll be transparent with you about who really I am even if it ain’t pretty. I contain higher antioxidant levels, antibacterial activity, amino acids, and mineral content than most honey because I am not made from flower nectar. I’m actually collected from the sweet secretion of tree sucking insects, which bees mistake for nectar.

Honeydew Honey has a full bodied flavor, with notes of overripe fruit and caramel. I pair well with dry cheeses.

Bulgaria is known as one of the best honey producers since the Thracian period due to its rich biodiversity, mountainous topography, and temperate climate. Our honeydew honey apiary is located in a forest preserve in the EU protected Strandzha mountains, famous for producing the best honeydew honey in the world.
