Not a beekeeper but still want to directly support the growth of local bee populations?
Our Wild Bee Hotel is the perfect home for tunnel-nesting bees, such as mason bees and leafcutter bees. Unlike honey bees, there is no colony with workers, there are no swarms, and they do not produce honey. Solitary bees are also nonaggressive.
Tunnel-nesting bees are solitary, meaning that each female uses an individual tunnel-like nest. She moves in the year prior, as her pupae develop overwinter. You will most likely see mason bees coming in and out from your Wild Bee Hotel during the spring and summer.
Hang your Wild Bee Hotel from a tree branch, trunk, or side of any outdoor wall.
Made from wood, bamboo.
